Reach for the stars in Mollieversity

Who hasn't used Mollie before? Even if you think you haven't, you will most likely find their name on your bank statements.

With more than 130.000 customers, Mollie is well on their way in their mission to become the world's most loved financial services provider. Mollie offers effortless payments for companies of all sizes and helps them to grow. Any online shop can easily integrate Mollie payments to provide different payment methods. This makes it super easy to use for anyone with an e-commerce business.

Being one of the fastest growing payment service providers in Europe, Mollie faces a lot of challenges. With roughly 750 employees, spread across offices throughout Europe, it is more important than ever to have all Mollies aligned on the company's mission. The best way to do this is to offer all Mollies specific training relevant to their role and department and give them the opportunity to grow personally. Next to that, having a small L&D team means that pushing buttons manually needs to be replaced by having automations set in place. Small team, big party!

That’s how Mollieversity was born. A place to reach for the stars. One Learning Experience Platform where Mollies grow what they know and learn what they don’t.

The concept of Mollieversity

Mollieversity gives Mollies the true Mollie experience where they grow what they know and learn what they don’t.

The concept of the academy centres around space and the universe theme, one that is quite commonly used and referred to in Mollie communications. Even meeting rooms in the Mollie HQ are named after planets.

With the space theme represented in the visuals of the platform, it seemingly fits the Mollie identity and is aligned with their DNA: Be bold, Be loved, Be authentic.

How to cater for busy Mollies?

Mollie is growing fast and like in any fast-growing scale up, there is a risk of employees losing sight of the company's vision and what's expected of them.

When you cater learning for busy people it is extremely important to provide structured, role specific, personalised and goal-oriented information. Since different groups crave different types of information, a good group structure helps learners to see only what's relevant to them.

Sounds nice? Here is one example. Mollie has a tailored group for manager onboarding. This way new managers are prepared for their new role and know exactly what’s expected from them.

Masterclasses from Mollies for Mollies

Mollie likes to offer their Mollies a variety of opportunities to grow. Masterclasses were brought to live with the idea of sharing valuable knowledge and learning from each other - from Mollies for Mollies.This sparkes the engagement amongst colleagues and empowers Mollies to share their knowledge with fellow colleagues.

Each month Mollie chooses to offer a variety of e-learning content, external workshops or inhouse Masterclasses that fit the power skill of the month. The topic of the month can be found on the platform, next to supporting articles and the option to sign up for virtual or live sessions. Topics vary from storytelling to career development and many more.

Creating and launching Mollieversity initially sparked a lot of positive reactions from Mollies. It also increased visibility and credibility of the L&D function within the business.

Up until this day Mollie subject matter experts from all different teams are reaching out on a regular basis and are eager to contribute and grow the platform with valuable content.
