Teaching package ‘Butterflies in your stomach’
In 2017, no less than 481 primary schools educate children about sexuality by means of the digital learning campaign ‘Butterflies in your Stomach’. TinQwise developed this program together with Rutgers Foundation (the Dutch Sexual Health and Family Planning Organization). The themes addressed include for example The body, Relationships, and Dealing with social media when being a youngster.
Every year Rutgers Foundation requests attention for the sexual education of children with their ‘Week of the Butterflies’ (translated freely). Since 2012 all primary schools in the Netherlands are obliged by law to offer sexual education. Rutgers Foundation offers all these primary schools free help in sexual education through a learning campaign, this is a series of digital learning interventions, that integrates the use of the Smartboard present in the classroom.
